I like to listen to Techno/Dubstep when I workout. It has the right beat which always get me moving stronger and faster.

I live for techno at the gym :)
Can't slack off with a bumpin' bass line

Aside from techno I, being completely cliche, swear by Eye of the Tiger - Survivor as my warm up song.
    :)

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
    Risin' up to the challenge
    Of our rival
    And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the
    Eye of the tiger

    Do.Dododo.Dododo.Dododoooooooo!

Some of my favorites for when I really need something to pump me up and zone me in to working hard are the following: (A few different types of music, bc I like variety, but all of them have lyrics, etc that inspire me...) A little rock, rap, pop, and dance.

    Muse - Butterflies & Hurricanes
    "Don't let yourself down
    Don't let yourself go
    Your last chance has arrived

Best, you've got to be the best
You've got to change the world
And use this chance to be heard
    Your time is now"

    Nicki Minaj - Fly
"Everybody wanna try to box me in
Suffocating every time it locks me in
Paint their own pictures then they crop me in
But I will remain where the top begins
Cause I am not a word, I am not a line
I am not a girl that can ever be defined
I am not fly, I am levitation
    I represent an entire generation
I hear the criticism loud and clear
That is how I know that the time is near
So we become alive in a time of fear
And I ain't got no mother****ing time to spare
Cry my eyes out for days upon days
Such a heavy burden placed upon me
But when you go hard your nay's become yay's"

Girl Talk - In Step (mash-up awesomeness)
    "Push It..." lol

Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Makes You Stronger)

Incubus - If Not Now, When?
    "I've waited all my life
If not now, when will I?
Stand up and face the bright light
    Don't hide your eyes
    It's time"

The gym I go to tends to play annoying music. Sometimes they have good stuff on the TVs in the background and the volume is up on the TV. ESPN2 was on most of the TVs this morning and "Mike & Mike" was on. Decent sports content.

I like high energy music for working out. Either rock or old school r&b. Some hip hop works.

I can see why a lot of women wear their ipod like devices to the gym. Some guys do it too, but most do not.

7-10 years ago at gyms, it was only the hottest of the hot women that had headphones on for their own music and to not be approached. Now, I noticed that average looking or better wear ipod/earpieces. Even some below average looking women. Amy thoughts?
