Pregnant and don't want to gain too much...

Hi there,
I have been off of My Fitness Pal for a little while and now think it is time to start recording again since I am pregnant (11+ weeks)and gaining weight pretty quickly.
I am very excited to be pregnant but one of my fears is that I am going to gain so much more than needed and I already need to lose about 40lbs. Of course, I am not going to "diet" while pregnant, if anything I would like to maintain where I am now (which as I said is 40lbs heavier than need be). But I am struggling. I have been quite nauseous and the only thing that really fixes it is eating. And I am totally wanting heavier foods like pastas.
I know to some of you, I probably sound ridiculous but if there is anyone out there that has some good tools for pregnancy (eating and exercising), I would appreciate it. I am walking a couple of miles a 2-3 times a week and I tried a prenatal yoga class once and will probably go again.
Oh, I have pretty thick arms and I am really afraid they are going to get huge.
Thanks for reading this. I hope I don't sound too vain!

Eat lots of small meals. Don't try to eat a huge bowl of pasta in one go, split it into 2-3. That way you won't exceed your calories but you will get what you need to stave off the nausea.
You should be coming out of the nausea stage soon so for now, I'd go with what your body wants (within reason lol) then when you can eat better foods, cut back on the bad ones.0 -
Just continue to eat healthily and exercise as much as your doctor allows. It's usually only when women go nuts with the food that they gain too much weight during pregnancy.0
