Serving size - 6 stix (or 2 pieces of full toast) *toppings not included*
Calories: 168..........Carbs: 24..........Fiber: 5..........Fat: 5
..........Protein: 13..........Sugar: 3..........Sodium: 285
Weight Watcher Points: 5
- 6 pieces Natures Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread (50 calorie per slice)
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup skim milk
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
*Nutrition changes if you use different bread, can also use 1/2 cup egg beaters.
- Beat eggs in a shallow bowl, add milk & spices mix well.
- Slice each piece of bread into 3rds. (or you can just make full pieces of toast too)
- Lightly dip each side of the stix into the egg mix, and place onto a frying pan that you sprayed with butter spray (you can also use regular non-stick, I think the butter just gives a better taste)
- Cook on each side for about 2 minutes (or until they start to get golden brown, then flip)
- Sprinkle with some powdered sugar, and a side of sugar free syrup for dipping (I like Mrs. Buttersworth)
Using 1 tbsp of powdered sugar & 1/4 cup syrup (you'd be surprised how much that is) - toppings were only an extra 50 calories.
