Logging Couch to 5K

I'm curious how others log their couch to 5K sessions. I did the math and figured that in total (for the first session of week 1) there is about 20 minutes of walking....I walk 3 MPH so that's about 89 calories burned.

There is 8 minutes of jogging, and I jog rather slow....around 4-4.3 MPH. I cannot find any jogging that slow on the database, the slowest I could find was 5.2. So I logged it as walking 4.5 MPH very very brisk pace. In total this adds up to 157 calories burned. I know the first session isn't real grueling at all, but I was pretty tired and had worked up a pretty good sweat, did I really only burn 157 calories?

Hot dog, we have a wiener!

I do the same. Given that it can change based on your course, which day of which week, etc there's no really easy way to log it without a hrm. If you have no other choice you can try using the slowest jogging setting you can find but it will be a high estimate by at least a hundred cals.
