I think its very simple and can be done and I know people who have done the "eating clean" thing and I want to do it, but I will say honestly..I dont want to buy the book. I want to try it out with just a few ideas. I tried to go online and get info but really it just gives you a little. I mainly want to know what I need to look for and what I dont need to ahve. When making meals for my family and I, what do I want to add and what dont I want to add. I understand the basics like staying away from "white" flour and doing whole wheats, and complex carbs; not simple, and water...lots and lots of water. But what else....what about the kinds of protein I need and how much, and how much complex carbs...etc....is there a link anyone knows of or does anyone has a general idea on this just to get me started.
Thanks!
Thanks!

To eat clean you have to eat 5 to 6 small meals everyday. (eating every 2 to 3 hours). You need to have both complex carbs (vegetables, whole grains, fruit) and protein at every meal. Drink at least 2 liters of water everyday (more on the days you work out). Never miss a meal, esp breakfast. Eat 4 to 6 ounces of lean protein (ie chicken, turkey, seafood, fish, egg whites) that is never fried at every meal. Avoid anything over-processed or manufactured, (aka anything in center aisles of grocery store); get as natural and to source as possible. No sugar, alcohol, or soda/juice. Consume healthy fats (ie nuts, seeds, avacados, olive oil). Try to also limit intake of salt by rinsing canned vegetables, making your own soups, and using other herbs to flavor food......I really have gotten good results with this diet. Just be sure to add in exercise and you will be on your way.....hope this helps :happy:0
