Has anyone used them for cooking or in there diet. I have some that I have been using in smoothies and really like the fact that they help make you full. I have tried them a few times in cooking but would like to use them more. They have a very interesting history.

    I grew a chia pet once, I didn't try to eat it though

    I use them in homemade granola.

    I like to add vanilla almond milk & let the sit a bit until they turn into a "pudding". Nice, filling dessert.
  • I mix them with my breakfast cereal, along with sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, flax seed and psyllium husk.

    When I posted this in 2007 very few people had heard of them or even tried them. I now see people using them more often. I still use them in baking on occassion or in smoothies.
