If you have the calories, eat.0 -
uh ... eat?
I'm heading to the gym shortly and will be eating 400 or so calories in about 90 minutes. the when of the meal doesn't matter at all.0 -
I have that same problem I always save calories for late night. I know that they say do not eat after 7pm or something like that, but my husband and I do not go to sleep until 3 or 4 so I usually when I am hungry eat a 100 calories pack of something usually sweet (its my weakness) and have some water and I am perfectly content.0

I'm good all day until night hits. I don't get out of work until after 10:30 many nights and I get the night munchies. I snack on sugar snap peas or cucumbers and other chopped up veggies. But if I even see peanut butter or sugary cereal, forget it!!! I go to town0

Night time is when I'm most vulnerable. Somehow it's the only time of the day when control is really difficult. So I save a bunch of calories for it, it's the only way to come in under my threshold. I haven't found a magic bullet at night, I just try and stick with clean foods that fit the macros.0

I've multiple times on these boards that time of day based theories on eating are bull%hit.
If you're just asking to find out what you can eat that is filling and low cal, try a good mix of fiber and protein. Sometimes I feel fuller longer if I throw some multi-grain carb source in, too. Try wasa crispbread with hummus and cucmber slices, fat free cottage cheese and diced tomato, yogurt with some Kashi Go Lean sprinkled on top, etc.

I usually don't get off work until 10 and have to stay up late to study so i gave up on the no food after 7:30. ( I really think that is meant for people who go to bed at proper hours LOL). however I try to keep it light when i come home. Usually toss some veggies and fruit in the blender so that I get that full feeling from the smoothie without a bunch of calories. If you're not actually going to bed right after this late night eating you're fine, its the act of sleeping and your slower metabolism during that time that makes eating late a no-no.0

EAT! Simple as that
I was actually reading about studies that have been conducted regarding eating late & weight gain and researchers concluded that there is no actual scientific evidence to suggest such causation! In other words it's a myth, it's not HOW LATE you eat but rather how many calories you eat so eat up!0 -

I'm having the same problem tonight. It's 1:46 and I'm starving. I ate and drank so much today too. Usually I try to stay in control but not a good day. Maybe I'll eat a yogurt just to put something in my mouth. Good luck. It's an ongoing problem for me. Somehow I manage to go to bed and not eat most days. The weekend though ... forget it, :laugh:0
