My favourite was CHIEF BRODY from Jaws.

Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump....I dunno why. It's just a great movie with a lot of great life lessons.
  • Edward Bloom-Big Fish

He was just such an amazingly different character. Ever the positive, adventurous and romantic person, as well as a man of so many talents and mysteries to his life. Also, it's just my absolute favorite movie lol.

(While he trained Luke on the planet Dagobah. Ha Ha! Can you imagine him as a personal trainer? You get mad and step off the treadmill and he uses the FORCE, picks you up and slams you back down on it and makes it spin at 8mph!

Gosh, how can one *possibly* choose?!

Augustus Mccrae, Lonesome Dove - if you know his character I hope you love him this much. I love Gus. He's heroic and brilliant and wonderful. And sassy.
    bit, Tron *yes!
    Indiana effing Jones (nuff said)
Lt. Ripley, Alien(s) - because she's amazing and hot and survives the unsurvivable
Terry Malloy - on the waterfront - because well, he's also sweet on pigeons. I like pigeons.

I could go on for hours.

Atticus Finch from "To Kill a Mockingbird". Strength, dignity, ethics, courage and modesty. The world would be a better place if more of us were like that or at least trying to be like that, imho.

    Ethan Edwards - The Searchers

He was brutally single-minded, ruthlessly efficient and yet, in the end, did the right thing despite all indication he would do otehrwise.

'Red' Redding played by Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption. Red had such a nonchalant way about him, didn't stress, but was always paying attention to everything that was going on. Freeman is such a gifted actor, and then of course his voice--it just draws the audience in even more.
