Anyone Else Feel Like This? Is It Normal?

I just started this site about two weeks ago. I have been eating right and exercising five times a week. For some reason, today, I haven't had the motivation to do anything! I mean I did all the exercise and I pushed through but it just felt so long and drawn out. Then, I was getting dressed and I just felt like I didn't look good in anything I was wearing. See, I have been losing weight in my sides and my sides look great! Heck, they look just the way I want them to look. However, I haven't been losing any in my front stomach area and I don't understand why. Has any one else felt like this or is it just me? Have you felt like you just don't want to do your exercise for the day and you feel like nothing you put on looks right around the areas you aren't losing in?

Ok, first, 2 weeks is only a small amount of time. You are going for a lifetime of fitness right? So cut yourself some slack. Second, your body sounds like mine- I have lost 30 lbs so far and gone down 4 sizes but my belly is still big in comparison---it won't shrink until I get much closer to my healthy weight zone. This is normal. Its just the way your body does it...and yes, it can be discouraging to put something on that won't fit because you are carrying that excess in the belly---but have faith as you continue it will eventually get flatter. Third, remember to allow yourself room to have some time adjust to this new way of living. 5 times a week is a lot, but if that works for you, go for it. I can only do 3x a week exercise or I just get burned out. I do much better exercising with a support group than alone because of the time issue you talked about. 55 minutes with a group goes MUCH faster than 10 minutes exercising alone.
And last, good luck... you have made a decision that will take your life in the direction you want to go. My fav quote "If you don't want to start over, stop giving up"........and if you have a day that is "not on track" SO WHAT...there is another day to begin fresh right after you wake up!0
