I was wondering everyone's take on working out when sick. I am sick, but I still feel the need to work out. I have heard varying things on this. Some say it's fine, others say it's too much for the body.......

Depends on how sick you are. If it's a mild/not too bad cold and you feel up to it, then do it. If you have a fever and/or you feel too tired, etc because of the illness to, then don't. It's your body - you know when you push it too hard.
If you decide to go ahead, then drink lots of fluids before, during and after, and don't push yourself too hard.0 -
General rule is that if it's above the neck, working out is fine. It can even be beneficial. (I've found that a good run clears up a stuffy head better than any medicine).
But if it's the neck and below (sore throat, chest cough, etc.) then skip the working out.
Using that as a general guideline, then listen your body and don't wear yourself out unnecessarily.0
