I'm not finding a decent, moderately priced HRM without reading horrible reviews. What brand do you have? I'd like to buy one with my tax refund. Need one that's user friendly!

I don't really think you can go wrong with any Polar. I have the Polar FT7 and love it. Though for some reason today it won't read my HR.0

I don't think it's much different than the FT4, though, so I'd say either one. They're commonly found between $60 and $100 for these particular models.0 -

I use the Timex T5G971. It comes with a chest strap. You can buy it online for about $50. After you set the watch up with your specifics (weight, resting heart rate, max heart rate, etc) you are good to go. I love mine! Never any issues.0

Polar ft40 here. Comfortable, water resistant so I can swim with it, and reliable. About $150. Worth every shiny penny.0
