started running and feeling light headed

spring track started this past monday. I'm a high school student and I've been sedentary for a long part of the past few months. after the first day of track, i felt so good because i haven't exercised that much in a while and it felt good to run more than 3 miles in one day. the second day, i was a little bit sore but didn't run as much. the third day, i was dying of soreness and felt so light headed. if i moved my head too quickly, i felt like i was gonna pass out from being too dizzy. i couldn't run properly (i had to scrunch my face, using my nose, so that my vision was focused on something small... if that makes sense). so today, i was less sore and less light headed, but still a bit light headed. i was wondering if there is anything i can do to help relieve this dizzy feeling every time i start moving or exercising. also, my throat has been burning lately. i think its because i breath with my mouth when i run. I've been sucking on cough drops but it feels the same as day 1. any suggestions?

I'm assuming your practices/workouts are after school? If so, what do eat for breakfast and lunch? Are you hydrating throughout the day leading up to practice?

I am a high school teacher and coach, so I have witnessed firsthand how the majority of high school students eat. :) Pop tart or candy bar for breakfast downed with an energy drink or soda...a couple of bags of chips before lunch. Plus, it's amazing how many students SKIP lunch each day. I had a student ask me once why she was cramping so much during conditioning exercises. When I asked her what she had eaten for lunch, she replied, "I skipped lunch today, but I ate some Doritos on the way to practice." :)

for breakfast, i eat oatmeal with cinnamon and nuts
for lunch, i eat 2 whole wheat slices with chicken, lettuce and tomatoes

yes, my practices are after school but i have been drinking less water, so thats probably the case.
haha i would never eat those junk foods anymore. I'm a healthy girl and all those excess calories, fat, sugar, etc is not necessary:)
the only processed foods i would eat is maybe granola bars (z bars, kashi bars, etc) but they're usually organic and healthier than other bars.
