Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Over the past week I have already exceeded my exercise goal and have stayed below my 1795 calorie intake as well as below the other important factors, but I have gained 2 pounds!!!!! I am drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day and have been EXTREMELY dedicated to the plan and my workouts. What could be going wrong? Thanks a bunch!

could be fluid retention esp if your sodium and/or carb intake was high. That happend to me a few weeks ago and I lost the 2 pounds in a week and two more the next week and was back on track.

Could be that your body is just trying to adjust to the new workout and calorie intake. Give it a little more time and I'm sure you will see the weight start to come off.

you need to add time to your diet  Stick to it and suddenly the weight will come off. Not all at once of course but it's difficult to give your body a bit of a kick up the butt sometimes, it doesn't really want it and it's comfortable and rebels against you, but as long as you keep at it, it will start to agree with you

Absolutely nothing. First off, if you're not used to exercising regularly and with any type of intensity, it takes some time to get your metabolic engine up to speed. Any weight you might lose in the first few days would be just water.

Speaking of water, were you used to drinking 6-8 8oz cups of water a day before starting to exercise? If not, you're body is adjusting to that and probably retaining a little. Also, are you watching your sodium intake? Excess sodium will make most people retain water.

Keep doing what you're doing and the results will come.

A month is too soon to see a trend. You gain and lose so much water weight from day to day that it will mask the small changes in fat weight that occur. Over several months, you see the definite trend.

That being said, make sure you are measuring things precisely and not just assuming how large your portions are. I see a lot of diaries where all the portions are round numbers, and I have my doubts. Food scales and mobile apps are big helps if you're serious about losing the weight.

i agree with the others give it time. When I first started in January it was hard because I didn't seem to make progress, but now I almost always have some sort of weight loss.
