Hi All!
Im Yeowie (male) and new to the website after getting a link from another one. im 5ft 8inches and currently 95kg (205lbs)
My goal is to lose about 20kgs or 44lbs. While i was travelling in 2010 i managed to lose it living the backpackers lifestyle and looked healthy and toned at about 70kg and retaining decent muscle tone after hitting the weights pretty hard the few years prior. Since ive come back i have put most of it back and piled on 25kg (of fat most likely) in the space of about 14 months... after looking through my travel pics i was pretty distraught at letting myself get back to my current weight after promising myself that i wouldnt... suffice the say the self esteem is pretty terrible right now, so times come to do something about it. at least this way i actually have some recent photos to act as inspiration for my goals!
i was wondering as to the accuracy of the calory calculator... as to me it seems to underestimate the amount of calories consumed?
look forward to sharing stories, results and support with all of you!

I take the calorie counter at face value. It's not always going to be 100% all of the time but I figure if it overestimates here, it underestimates somewhere else. Its not really about the individual calories here and there. Its just a tool to gauge yourself and put some reigns on unhealthy habits. You take it for what its worth and as long as you stick to it, you WILL see results! regardless of if its off a little bit now and then.0

That's a relief, I'm new today too and was wondering the same thing.0
