Howdy forum, a 40 year old fairly active male with prior bad refuelling habits seeks similar.

Sorry, wrong site.

Seriously, I love the MFP app, it's really opened my eyes to what I was opening my mouth for.

I've not been on any diets before, not counted calories, I swore I wouldn't need to.

I was wrong. :)

Apparently the top of my ideal weight range is 81kg, I don't see myself being healthy at that (I'm fairly muscular) so I'm aiming for 85.

Really the weight isn't the thing for me, I know from my clothes when I feel optimal and it ain't today (90.1kg).

So, ta to MFP for something that is near effortless to use, I'm feeling better and making progress I can track, nice one.

I'll consider myself happily friended and wish you well on your fitness journey :)

My approach is typically blokey ... I wish to lose weight but still get agreeably drunk on a more than occasional basis. Government guidelines be damned.

This requires some forethought but I think it's doable.

Ditching beer for wine has helped as has getting into some serious walking, which I really enjoy.

I don't jog and the only place I run is on a cricket field ... and very rarely.

If anyone catches me in a gym or at some boot-camp/personal trainer bllocks then they have my permission to shoot me.

It is GOOD to feel hungry occasionally. :)
