Fitbit vs. MFP calc for step aerobics VERY different

I did 25 minutes of step aerobics this morning and my fitbit calculated ONLY 99 calories. This can't be right. The MFP calc is mich higher in the 350 range. I'm sure the fitbit is calculating the "steps" accurately but not the exertion needed -- I thought the motion part of it would be captured too, doesn't seem it though.

Which would you use - the fitbit adj or the MFP exercise calc?

  • I use mfp for energy in (food input) and I use fitbit for energy out (exercise). They are usually quite similar +/- about 50 cals. Idk, the Bly thing I can suggest is to make sure you input the time that you started correctly, or that because its step aerobics the steps aren't as fast or continuous as walking or running. You can also log in mfp and fb will adjust based on its calculations. In this case mfp is more accurate.
