I made it to a normal BMI today!

Today is my first weigh in where I reached a normal BMI. I'm down from a BMI of 33.6 (234.2 lb) to 24.9 (173.8 lb). Just over 60 lbs down.

I have reached my goal 5 times now (originally wanted to lose 20, then 30, then 40, then 50 lbs, and now 60 lbs). I'm done! Time to switch to maintenance mode, which is weird since I've been losing for for almost 15 months. What a ride.

Time to add in some weight lifting and pare down the cardio.

Congrats! I'm excited that I'm almost out of the "obese" category, sounds silly to be excited about something so small but I'm getting there!

Fabulous!! Maintenance is sooooooo much tougher than losing, so please stick with whatever it is that is working for you.

    CONGRATS!

I cannot WAIT for that day! I'm teetering on the edge of Obese/Overweight. I can't believe that at 188 pounds, as a man, I'm still considered "Obese." Kind of ridiculous, but then again I am only 5'4".

Congrats!!! :D:D:D I feel like I will be the same way (with a growing weight loss goal)- using MFP as a tool really makes me motivated because it's so easy :) I'm scared to get to 'maintenance mode' though. I'm sure it'll be about finding a balance that you feel comfortable with. Way to go!

Congrats Bro! Can't wait to get there myself. I'm at a 28.5 BMI (198 lbs) and my goal is be somewhere between 23-25 (160-175 lbs) BMI to be considered healthy for my height (5ft 10in). I haven't been down to the 160-175 range since high school!

    Good luck with the maintenance!
