If we get ONE MORE PHONE BILL with an unauthorized charge on it, I'm going to blow something UP.

Seriously, people, watch your bill. There are companies out there that put links up ONLINE that offer you a chance to enter a drawing to win prizes, and when you supply basic information, such as your address, name, TELEPHONE NUMBER, you're then charged later for a service you're not getting and not interested in. The phone number is the key - by supplying it, you are agreeing to the FEE they charge, which comes in anywhere from $10 - 25 per MONTH, and they utilize the phone company to get it! Apparently, some peoples bills are quite high, and so a little $20 charge can go UNNOTICED for quite some time.

Unless you're like me, and on a fixed limited income and you check shtuff like that!!

I rolled over them like gangbusters, and when I was done, I called ATT and got CRAMBLOCK, which is like a 900# blocking mechanism, that will prevent that from happening. Cramblock forces the alleged business to bill you directly, at which point, you can DISPUTE IT, because you can actually SEE IT!!
So word to the wary!!

ugh, yeah. when we moved, I noticed the bill was more than they said it would be. I looked more closely and realized we were being charged $13.95 a month for the last 3 years!!!! for a charge we never approved. after they reversed all the charges and refunded it back to our account, we didn't have to pay phone/internet bill for months! haha So it does pay to check!
