So over the past 6 weeks I've lost just under 13Ibs (5.8kg) which is great but even though I am going to the gym and doing wii fit exercises at home I'm not getting any better with body shape etc. In fact since i've lost weight on certain parts of my body, its making the bad parts, love handles/tummy fat/thighs etc look even worse. Please help.

I'm doing 2 visits a week to the gym spending about 45 mins there, 30 mins on the treadmil and bike , fast paced and then 20 mins on general strengthening exercises. I also do steps, jogging and yoga on the wii a couple of times a week. Please could you guys give me some tips on how to shape my body more. I know I have to lose fat first etc but I want to see some definition too. I'm apparently supposed to be 10 stone for my height, so thats another 2 stone to lose?

Height 5.7"
Start Weight: 12.9 stone
Current Weight: 11.13 Stone
Ideal Weight: 10 Stone
BMI: 26

Consider New Rules of Lifting for Women, Stronglifts 5x5, or Jamie Eason's LiveFit program, to name a few options. Continue with the diet you have assuming you have a good macro spread.

A little less cardio and more of picking up weights. Heavy with less reps are the way to go!

People have told me that having a bigger muscle mass will generally burn more calories even when you aren't doing anything, but you have to keep training in order for them to stay strong and let's say big.

I've started strength training today, I worked out a routine I am going to follow and I will stick by it because I know I want to increase my muscle mass, become stronger for myself and so I don't get so knackered on a bike ride (my leg muscles aren't that strong yet...)

If you have been doing the same strength workouts on the same weights for 6 weeks I don't think it's really going to do you much good in terms of muscle building and fat burning. I would recommend and I hope others would recommend maybe upping the weights a bit more when lifting and such.

TOTALLY agree. The New Rules of Lifting for Women book is awesome. I generally do cardio 3-4x a week (I'm a runner so 2 days are HIIT, one day is a distance run, and one day is usually cardio kickboxing) plus 4x a week heavy strength training, and while I've only lost 10 lbs, I've lost 2 pants sizes and am totally seeing changes in my body and muscle definition. Keep up a ratio of 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fats in your diet, and you should be on the right track!

I am currently doing Insanity (1 day left...eeeks!) and plan to try ChaLean Extreme after my 2nd round. I have heard such great things about that program. Insanity is pretty awesome as well but i wanted to incorporate more weights in my workout routine. I think Chalean might be just what you are looking for. If you decide you want to get it you can go to beachbody.com or just contact me. I think i can get you a discount of some sorts. I think you should look into that program.

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred worked wonders for me. I lost 2 inches in my waist and 2 inches off my love handles in 10 days. I did the full 30 days and lost inches all over, but seeing 2 inches gone in 10 days was awesome motivation to keep going. I didn't lose much weight, maybe a couple pounds, but my body definitely changed for the better.

I've been lifting heavy for the last couple of months and that is making a huge difference as well. I definitely recommend New Rules of Lifting for Women like others have mentioned. Give yourself some time and you'll see changes. Good luck!

I agree with this as well. Jillian DVDs are fairly cheap as well. Only about $10

How do you change things in MFP to have that food ratio?
