So my main point.. Convenience. Like the stereotypical American, I relish in convenience. I love the concept of eating healthy. Why have I quit before? Because it gets BORING and it's difficult to sustain. I think back to all my failed attempts at sustaining weight loss and it always came back to one core issue : Sustaining healthy eating.

I remember going out on NYE. My body was toast. I needed a change. There were many other reasons besides that night but at that point I knew I needed to come up with something that worked. I had tried in the past but always failed. Thinking to myself how the hell am I going to make this work this go around? I hate yo-yos but I always end up in the same place. My life is on the line with this one.. getting older and now dealing with health problems, depression etc. failure was and still is not an option. Had to find a solution... so I signed up for a meal planning website that had recipes mapped out each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I printed out the ingredients list... pages upon pages of ingredients. How the hell am I going to manage this? Being single it seemed there was so much waste and leftover trying to do this alone. Figured I may try and stick with it as I didn't really have any other option and try develop a habit. Have to start somewhere, right? I remember asking myself back in 2002, why don't they come up with a place I can go and get healthy, pre-made dinners like I make at home? All of the convenient options are so unhealthy!

Well, someone got the hint somewhere. Introduce MYFITFOODS

I'm sure MyFitFoods didn't start it all, but it's a great concept. Remember the healthy, pre-made dinners I mentioned? Well they have breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc. All healthy and all filling. I've been eating there for about 2 months now and plan on continuing indefinitely. You may ask, doesn't it get old? Nope. They have over 100 different items to choose from and luckily for me I travel a few times a month which gives me an opportunity to shake it up a bit.

So if you live in Texas, Arizona or California I highly recommend stopping by. I think there are other chains similar to MyFitFoods so if you know of any please post 'em.

And you may ask, no I don't work there, no I don't have any affiliation nor do I reap any benefits from posting this. Just sharing.

I've lost 34lbs since Jan 6th.

Nice! Thanks so much for sharing! I will do some researching and see if the Kansas City area has a place like that. I've often wondered, but just haven't gotten off my tush to look! I used to do social suppers when I was married and could afford it, but when I got divorced, I decided that was money I didn't need to spend. If the food was portioned correctly AND tasty, it definitely would be worth it, I think!!

    Thanks again for the post...

How would this work with 3 kids? Some weeks all I want to do is cook and bake. Other weeks I'd rather rip my finger nails off with pliers but don't want to feed us crap...

I am gonna have to say - packing is more focused on family portions - nice to know there is a place for catering to us singles in the US. lol. I am going to be researching in the Nashville area!

To the OP I read your other post about your mom and I just have to say, I've been there (but with my dad), it's very hard to handle.

As far as prepackaged things, there's a place near me (I'm in Chicago area) it's called Seattle Sutton (I've never tried it, but have heard good things about it).
