12lbs lost-with pics!1/4 way to my GW!

Hi all,
I began my journey in January this year after seeing this picture of me and my other half on Christmas day:
I've lost 12 lbs and want to get down by a lot more, but I think I can see changes and I feel more energised, healthy and a lot of health problems such as sore knees, IBS and heartburn have pretty much disappeared!
I used to binge on up to 6 packs of crisps a day and I knew I had a problem and had to face facts when I saw that pic above, and also the fact I was hiding my crisp binges from everyone and felt ashamed. I had always told myself that my weight didnt matter, but I want to get married and have kids in the next few years and I really dont want them to have health issues and I decided to change my habits. I do enjoy a good drink, and I love food and cooking, and I haven't given these up. Just cut down and done some exercise a couple of times a week. Granted my weight loss has not been 'fast' but I want to change my lifestyle and I don't care how slow/fast it comes off. Although obviously I wouldnt complain if it just fell off!
My MFP friends have been amazing, I honestly say I couldn't have got this far without them. I'm also interested in more friends if anyone wants to add me
These were a couple of pics we took yesterday before going to dinner, I added one with my other half in too as he has lost over a stone also and I think he looks hunky
(ps. oops novice uploading pics, have resized them now!)

Hey thanks everyone, the comments have really motivated me to carry on!
I got my black dress from tesco of all places, and a snip at £9!!! They do it in red too :-)0 -
Tesco, to my American ears, sounds like a gas station, so I'm going to pretend it is some sort of totally amazing British fashion boutique that will also change my oil for $16. Awesome progress, you really can tell!0
