......that tonight I wanted to exercise so that I could get some extra calories so that I could eat? I was hungry and didn't have many calories left so I thought about going on the treadmill for a bit to gain some more calories. Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't do it in the end but had an apple and some laughing cow cheese which put me over 98 calories....

I've run to the gym after eating a sandwich at a restaurant that turned out to be 800 cals! I did it to make sure I didn't go way over and feel defeated for the day, it's a nice feeling to be that motivated :)

    Good snack choice btw!

I do it all the time! I stick to 1800 cal/day IF I walk for an hour on the treadmill in the AM (I burn 300 cal. in an hour). Sometimes I will hop back on an hour or two later for 30 minutes or so while watching TV...an extra 150 calories I can eat! ;-)

I was particularly hungry today and had already consumed 1,200 calories by 2 p.m. I had 600 left. My dinner usually averages 500 calories, but I really, really wanted a bowl of ice cream afterwards (ice cream is my downfall). I knew that I would either have to forgo the ice cream OR get back on the treadmill for 40 minutes to *earn it*!!! (and that's what I did) !!

Thanks! I know that if there were other things in the house....I would have wolfed them down! I can't have 'naughty' things in the house because I don't have self control.

I've been told it is 'wrong' but I still like my logic better... I do it periodically, though it probably does little else but make me feel better. Good luck :flowerforyou:

It sounds like you are on approx. the same daily calorie limit as me. WIthout exercise I can have 1360 and with an hour walking, 1760 or so. It was an encouragement to me to see that because you wanted the ice cream that you worked out to earn it!!
