I'm going on vacation with my family over spring break and I know I'm going to have a hard time making health food choices during that time any suggestions?

I still track my calories but I set my plan to maintenance. This way I have a buffer to eat more food with some treats, but I can't go crazy and I still try to eat healthy. I have found I usually still lose weight because I take very active vacations with my kids.

I do not recommend throwing it all away. That is how I gained serious weight last summer, over eating on vacation, then continuing in vacation eating mode when I returned. What I have learned is that to lose weight and keep it off, you have to always be on guard to some extent. And, you have to track calories. Sounds like you are going to Disneyland. I would research the restaurants first and actually plan ahead of time what you will eat and where. It is very easy to overeat there. The portions are huge and there are giant desserts everywhere. And very little is "healthy." I think it can be done to maintain your diet, you just have to do some advance planning and then stick to it! Also, keep in mind, the park food there isn't that good that it is worth killing your weightloss efforts to date.
The other thing I would do, because, honestly you will not burn that many calories walking, is get up every morning and work out in the hotel gym --do something like swim or bike that uses different muscles than walking. And do some weights too. This will get you started on the right path for the day. I would also skip eating breakfast out because this can sink you--and breakfast is the easiest meal to control calories on. Think oatmeal, cereal and banana, eggs and wheat toast, yogurt. A reasonable healthy breakfast gets you on the right path for the day. And, avoid buffets at all costs--this is a really easy way to overeat.
    Have fun and good luck!

I dont subscribe to the 'its ok I'm on holiday' thing. This is a lifestyle change.

I spent two weeks all inclusive in Crete last summer and tried hard to maintain.

I had omlette and fruit for breakfast, grilled fish/chicken with salad for lunch and allowed myself a little freedom for dinner but kept it sensible. I drank only water during the day (although I did have wine with dinner every night) only had the occassional dessert and worked out in the hotel gym/pool,

Had a fantastic time, felt in control and came home 4 pounds lighter, It can be done.

    Enjoy
