    The trainers at the gym probably don't get paid much. I belong to a gym but have a personal trainer elsewhere. I like it better that way.

    I pay him $40 for a 1/2 hour session on top of my gym fees.

    The question is does the $40 go to him or the gym for maintenance/cleaning/etc

    Sounds like my trainer is back, just heard from him, he's been in meetings with the gym and should be back by the end of the week.... *fingers crossed* I was really overwhelmed by the idea of having to find a new trainer.
