I pulled a hamstring muscle, need exercise advice.

I got out of bed and had intense pain below my knee. My fitness advisor thinks I just pulled a hamstring. However, I'm a walker to burn calories and I'm dead in the water. Can anyone give me some ideas of how to burn calories while letting the muscle heal? I'm not a spring chicken and have worried about hurting myself and now this happened. I don't have access to a pool and live in a colder climate. Help me if you can.
