Hey!

I think I absolutely lllove MFP! :) It seems like it's going to make this journey SO much easier. I do have a few questions if someone would be lovely &give some advice, lol.

I need to know what are the best at home exercises for working these lovehandles? I know I sure don't love 'em.

The best workout DVD as per your own results. Best as in high weight loss and inch loss. I'd love to hear your results including how long it took with your suggestion.

Hope to get lots of different answers! :)

You cannot target specific bodyparts for fat loss, you just lose a percentage of bodyfat and it loses all over. Sucks yes, but thats why looking good is hard :(

Certain exercises work certain bodyparts more is what I mean, I guess. Like some exercises only work calves/thighs, and some work only arms/chest or whatever, so I just mean what at home exercises work that area best?

Barbell twists, lawn mowers, one sided farmers walk, and side bends...but remember you won't see a change unless you reduce overall body fat percentage. In fact, you risk making your love handles bigger if you don't lose fat in addition to exercise.

    Thanks!
So basically, it's better to do the regular exercises that works everything & continue with dieting to lose first & then focus on specific parts?

you can´t spot reduce. Your body will take the fat where it want and won´t ask your opnion lol (bye bye my boobs). My best results came from strenght training doing full body movements and also planks that work your core from inside out. Good luck

In all honesty, you don't have to do ab exercises to get a strong core....squats, deadlifts, and presses.
  • For your question about "love handles":

    ^^ It's pretty much this.

As far as best DVD/workout for weight loss:
Losing weight is 90% Diet. Cardio work is not essential.

Do something as long as you enjoy. playing some type of sport that you have fun with would be good.

For me personally, I just stick to weight lifting. I don't do any specific cardio work (not necessary imo).
