Hi. I've been logging on MFP for the last 3 weeks. I had been keeping my calories to the recommended 1200 and not losing an ounce !! After reading on Fat2Fit - I upped the calories this week to 1500 - 1600. (because it's scary to go much higher). Still have not lost a thing. Good news - not gaining either. I am 53 years old, female and I weigh 140 lbs. am 5'3" and I started running one year ago. Thought I would lose weight doing that but - no. I run 3 times a week with a group aiming for 10k. My Body Fat is 26.9 or 36.3 (depending on whose formula I use) BMI 24.8. BMR 1311 or 1375 (again depending on whose formula I use) For a lightly active person I should eat 1725 calories and for moderately active 1944. I eat very healthy - no processed foods at all. I balance my Carbs, Proteins and Fats to about 40%, 30%, 30%. I am seriously frustrated. Can someone offer suggestions ?
