BMR?!?

Okay, I have been adjusting my goals and went ahead and set my goal to lose 1/2 pound per week. That made my calorie requirement 1470. Well, I went back and calculated my BMR since I have lost 4lbs, and that number went from approx. 1700 down to 1300
!! So, if I am consuming 1470 calories/day, and my BMR is 1300, where is my defecit?? My exercise plan is set at 30 minutes, 3 times a week, although I typically do 45-1 hr 4 times a week. Should I go back down to 1200 calories per day to create the defecit before exercise?

your BMR is if you are laying in bed sleeping all day. SO you need to add all of the normal calories burnt from daily activity (your activity level) which is where you get your 1700 calories... walking, standing, cooking, cleaning, all of those things burn calories that need to be added to your BMR. I was confused because my BMR was around 1700 when I first started but when I calculated it today it was around 1300. :sad:0
