I am really liking the results from adding deep squats and dead lifts to my workouts. I mainly did this to improve my abs and core. My question is, can I do them every workout or should I continue to have a rest day between working them. I am only doing them now when I work my legs. Thanks for any info!

need a rest day. You shouldn't weight train any body part every day, it will hamper your results. Hope this helps

If you're lifting heavy (6-8 rep range)...I wouldn't suggest doing squats or deads more than once a week. If you're doing very light weight with tons of reps...I think you could get away with 2x a week. But do a different variation for each....i.e. do stiff legged dead on one day, and regular deads the other. And with squats....regular back squats one day, and another day you could do sumo squats, bulgarian squats, zercher squats, or box squats.

I don't hold weight when I do them but I do wide leg squats one day then the next day like sitting in a chair type squats.

I lift heavy and do things like front squats, regular squats, deadlifts, etc and only do them once a week. I will sometimes add in another day of light leg stuff like step-ups and walking lunges, but usually 3-4 days after I've done legs. Rest is important to growth.
