Hi everybody. This is my very first topic…(I am 3 days new to this site) kinda nervous..i am at 267.4 pounds and want to get down to about 145-150 pounds..i know this is my weight loss journey and I know all that weight off my body will take time..but I have one question. Can you under eat? Because I think I am. I lost 6 pounds in like 3-4 weeks or is that average? Because some people what you to lose 1-2 pounds per week..am i right or wrong?

Congratulations on taking your first steps. You will lose quickly to start and it will then slow down. Some weeks you won't lose anything but never ever give up.

to answer your question about under-eating,yes,it is possible, just follow the calorie guide on here and you will be fine

Thats what i hate to hear...you will lose fast at the beginning but it ALL slows down...i think people on the biggest loser and shows like that they lose quick @ the beginning and lose like zero-5 pounds after that..but thanks for answering my question  and i will NEVER give up...

Everyone's weight loss is different. At the beginning a lot of what you lose is water weight, so that's why your weight loss slows down. (What is it, like week 2 or 3 on BL that is the week no one does well?)

It is possible to under eat if you work out a ton and still only eat the 1200 calories or whatever. Your body may continue to shed weight, but it can be losing muscle instead of fat (boo!) at that point.

It sounds a little scary and overwhelming, but honestly, it's not. =) Just remember to log your food, watch your calories, and try to make your calories GOOD ones - nutrient dense calories instead of empty ones. Make your food do more for your body.

There are tons of people on here with extremely motivating stories - it's amazing! Whenever I have those moments of doubt, I look for a post like that. There are also tons of people on here willing to lend support, knowledge, whatever ...

Best of luck on your journey! Feel free to add me as a friend!

    =)
