I want to start doing HIIT. I've seen so much information about how to start and what to do, but its all different. I just need some information on what the intervals should consist of and where a beginner should try to start.

You will get a lot of information on here that will simply be interval training.
Question first, how active are you? HIIt is not something that you just start without already having a decent level of fitness (my opinion)
There's a ton of information on the net, Google hiit for beginners.
But, short story, you want to get outside and run or use a stationary bike. You will interval between high intensity and no intensity, starting at a ratio of 2 or 3:1 with the high intensity being the 1 and Max of 10 or 15 seconds to start. During that time you push yourself as hard as you possibly can, meaning gasping for air, wanting to throw up, muscles hurting. Rest, repeat. 5-6 times. NOT for 30 mins.0 -
I have to agree, knowledge is the key...0
