my story :)

first off, hello
I hadn't realised quite how big i was until i stumbled across a picture Friday that was less than flattering. Anyway, back to the beginning....
Last year I was in a size 14 (close to a 16) and weighed 11St 5lbs (maybe more) and then i got braces in September, after losing a couple of pounds through not being able to eat anything unhealthy due to hardly being able to chew i shared my excitement with a friend who straight away put me down by saying something along the lines of 'I lost weight with braces too, you'll put it back on though it doesn't last forever' ...
And that's when I thought you know what? I am going to do this, I'm going to drop a dress size or two and be as healthy as I can. I managed to lose about a Stone through eating less (not a good idea I know) and started walking as much as possible and doing something on the wii fit daily. Que more weight lost. I then hit a stand still and couldn't lose any more weight so started eating less again (when I was on the wii fit daily I'd started to eat more).
Then Jillian Michaels entered my life through the form of The 30 Day Shred. I've done 15 days so far and I feel GOOD! My body is more toned and I feel a lot healthier. Then came MFP, I noticed a lot of people were talking about it so thought I'd give it a whirl.... I realised I wasn't eating enough and that I could still eat the foods i love as long as i do so in moderation. I'm currently in a Plateau which is rather annoying but I'm working on getting myself out of it by upping my calories for a week and doing different exercises as well as the 30 day shred...if that fails I'll be back here for more ideas
Anyway...these shows just how far I've come in a few short months:

I plan on sticking around here for a little longer, finishing the shred, perhaps starting some Body Rocking workouts and becoming the best I can be
p.s. If you made it this far, I salute you :flowerforyou:

Wow!! There is a HUGE difference! Great job!! I am still trying to talk myself into the 30 day shred. This is pretty persuasive!!0

Just proves that you CAN lose weight and do what you need to do regardless of how old you are!
I can't recommend The 30 Day Shred enough!0 -
Well done girl!
I think you are the first person which I've seen on here to have a similar body shape to my own, this makes me happy! Lol Now I don't feel so alone about my belly fat and because you've shifted it I know I can too!
P.s, walking alone really DOES burn the fat!0 -
WOW what a change, you look great and i'm the same i think Jillian Michaels rocks, i've been doing her yoga and ripped dvd and wow has my butt lifted some
