To me, words are just words.......
Its the meaning that gets put behind them that makes them positive or negative. For me, if someone called me thick........it would depend on the context........but either way I would be offended. I just wish that there were better ways to describe people. Like for instance:
Obese = overweight (in my eyes)
Heavy = not overweight, but not within the norm for your body height and build
These two, I would still call them obese or heavy......that to me is a respectable word for either and to me, those descriptions are what they mean.
Now you have:
Healthy looking = lean = meaning the right weight for heighth and build
Skinny = (would still use this word) a little thinner than whats normal for you heighth and build
What's yours?
