Why is it that 90% of the people I see on here with that glow to their skin are from california? What are you guys eating and drinking out there?

Actually, they are NOT your friends. Google tanning beds and cancer.

We have good weather, which means we tend to be more outdoorsy and get quite a bit of sun :) I know that I have gotten very tan since I started volunteering at an animal rescue and running outside. Even my hair is lighter and healthier looking

I find it hard to believe that people are so willing to pay for something that they can get for free :/

because it's not crappy outside (like where i live now), we are outside all the time... it's sun, fresh air, movement and happy looking weather

(oh, and a bit of smog, I don't trust air I can't see)

carrots, lots of carrots, oh wait that bugs bunny:bigsmile:
ok, better weather allows us to go outside more then say those who live in the snowy areas, but then again if your outside snowshoeing, skiing you can get a glow on too! so maybe the eatting of carrots really are the answer:laugh:

Not real sure what "glow" you speak of....the "orangey" one from tanning  or the "natural" glow from occasional sun and eating fresh produce

I'm a native California girl who avoids the sun. I attribute my complexion to that, drinking lots of water and trying to laugh as much as possible. I've read from several leading dermatologists that if you're from Norway, Nepal or Nigeria - wear sunscreen every day from your forehead down to your upper chest. I also wear sunhats which can be quite stylish, actually. :)

When my daughter was in the UK not long ago buying a train pass, the clerk asked her if she was from California. When she replied "Is it my accent?", she was told "No, but I've noticed everyone from California smiles"! Glad to know we also are known for our good skin. Lol!

i moved to Phoenix form the east coast last year. its great how fantastic people look here. tans, in shape and healthy, active....and that translates to happier and friendlier.

so in California where you also have the beach i understand how they glow even more. :D
