I recently bought a heart rate monitor with a calorie counter. I logged the calories burned after 24 minutes of HIIT but I didnt turn it off to see the after burn effects. Should I log this also? Its up to 651 after 36 minutes

I don't think an HRT can calculate/monitor afterburn. It only estimates your effort while you are exercising.0

so theres no point in keeping it on after?0

I've never logged after burns with my HRM.
BUT... wow, 651 cals burn after 36 mins? How do you do that? I can only do 300 after 45 mins with HR at 80-90%!0 -

I just left my HRM on after I finished my 20 minute HIIT workout. The HIIT workout burned 424 calories I think. It was really awesome!0
