Looking for a website or phone application...

Hello all! I am hoping to get some help on here. I need to shake up my exercise routine and make it more fun. I was wondering if anyone knows of a website or a phone application that sets exercise/fitness goals and when you complete them you get fun things like badges. Kinda like the games on Facebook. An example could be - Goal: walk one mile. Then once you complete it, it would show on your profile as a badge or something. Thanks much for any help!

Don't know about golden stars and badges, but I use http://jefit.com. After trying a few, found that one the best. Don't think it might be what you are looking for though.

Havent heard of anything like that. The best app IMHO, is Jefit, which you can use to keep track of your fitness progress and plan your workouts. They have a free and pay version. Dont drop the cash for the pay vesion. I did and found it wasnt worth it.

    Sparkpeople.com
  • Adidas miCoach, by far the best, you can set up programs based on your goals and current levels which are designed to progress you to the next level and beyond. It also use both heart rate or pace based zones depending on preference, personally in the gym I prefer heart rate, whereas outdoors it's pace based. There are no actual badges but you can track new records, milestones etc.

    Strava.com
phone app works as GPS to track your walk/run or bike ride and uploads to their website. You get badges for distance and or speed and can complete against friends and share on facebook/twitter/etc.

I haven't seen a badge earning site yet, but I like to use http://chains.cc for motivation. It's based on the Don't Break The Chain philosophy that Jerry Seinfeld swears by. I also like to use the Circuit Timer app for iPhone/iPod. I use it to design my own timed workouts. For example, I'm currently able to walk for 7-1/2 minutes and then run for 2-1/2 minutes, repeating that 4 times. I also have a stretching circuit where I do 16 different stretches for 45 seconds each. The alarms that go off at each interval help motivate me.

  • iPhone/iPad has the Nike Training Club. As you complete workouts you unlock badges for other workouts.

I use VirtuaGym.com. It has a website and an Android app, and you get badges as you complete different amounts and types of workouts. I really enjoy it :)
  • WOW! Thanks for all the replies! I can't wait to check out all the info!

www.dailymile.com might be what you're looking for. I haven't used it myself but found a link to it on another website.

"If your New Year resolutions include running, walking or any cardio activities, this is the app to go to. As you complete your workouts, simply log them in using their web or mobile clients. The site will keep track of all the activity and summarize it into a bunch of beautiful looking graphs that have to be seen to be believed. It also adds a social angle to the proceedings by publishing your achievements and integrating with Twitter and Facebook. There’s also support for integration with Nike+ or some Android apps."

http://www.fitocracy.com/ requires you to have an invite in order to join. Do you know what's up with that or how you would get one? Otherwise it states it will advise when it's open to the public if you give them your email address.

This site seems like it's just for running/walking? The website also looks just like Myfitnesspal. I wonder if they are related.
I haven't tried the site myself though. If your training for a 5k or larger, it might be good since fitnesspal.com doesn't have this feature.
