I lost 61lbs using MFP over the course of 1year. Sept. 2011, I twisted my knee which took me away from the gym and then pulled a lower back muscle, severely, in Nov. 2011. As of Feb 2012 I have been trying to get back on track with the exercise and eating properly. I am finding that I cheat daily at least at one meal a day. I also have not been committed to the gym like I had been in the past. I was going 3-5 days a wk for approx 1.5-2.0hrs each time. Now I may go once a wk. I feel I need to share this hardship #1 because I have to stay accountable, #2 I know there are others out there like me that may benefit from me sharing and #3 it is the right thing to do....asking for help. Thank you in advance for your help

Thanks for the friend request!!! 61# is SO AMAZING!!!!!!!! Look at how far you have come!!! Stop beating your self up and take it one day at a time. It helps me to post on my wall that I am out the door to the gym or my workout plan for the day. I always follow through when I do that since I don't want to let my MFP's down or myself!!! I also have some race events on my calendar which forces me to be in training.

I try to look up healthy recipes and try new things so I have good left overs and can stay on track. If you have a Trader Joes near you I have a bunch of stuff I get there that helps me stay in my calorie range and feel satisfied. A couple favs are..8 veggie chopped salad, eggplant wrap and champagne pear vinegette with gorgonzola!!!

I hope that helps!!! You can do it!!!!!! We are all in this together!!!!
  • Thanks for your encouragement! Accountability and focus one day at a time. Your right...we are ALL in this together! Yes, I do have a Trader Joes by my work. I will def. check these items out. I also have a couple of races coming up. This saturday, March 17 St. Patrick's Day, I will be running in the Shamrock 4-Miler, my very 1st race! In September I will be taking part in the Ramblin Rose Mini-Triathlon for only women. I start training with a mentor in May for the Tri. I need to get mentally focused and you have started me on that path again. Thanks again for the encouragement. Best wishes on your upcoming races!
