Hi Everyone,

My name is Stephanie and today is my first day on my journey of losing weight and getting healthy! I have a question. What do I do with the extra workout calories I earn? Am I supposed to eat more? I am currently at eating 1800 calories a day. I have a hard time with that but am trying. Any ideas on what I can eat to help get some extra healthy calories? I have tried losing weight before. I have done everything but I tend to give up on myself. I thought maybe getting on here and seeing what others are going through and their triumphs will help inspire me and help give me ideas to get to my goals. Thanks:)

You eat them back! Your body needs calories to do it's "normal" stuff as it is. I watch my calories (I actually don't think I'm getting enough a day) But to lose weight I was told to drop down the Fat grams. Take a look at my diary if you'd like. You can add me! Good luck with your goals! And welcome! :)

Vegetables are good, but make sure they are "vegetables" and not "starches"...all my favorite vegetables are commonly known as "starches", such as potatoes and corn. (Grew up in as a farm girl in Iowa, what can I say? I have no clue on how to make asparagus!)
