Wearing an HRM all day?

Has anyone tried wearing their HRM all day, rather than just for excercising? I have a Polar F6, and the last couple days I've worn it all day, just to see for curiosity's sake, how many cals I burn just over the course of the day. But I've read mixed things about this online -- some places seem to say it's accurate and other folks say no. Just wondering if anyone else had given this a shot and/or knows whether it gives accurate results?

For the record, it tells me I burn about 2800-3000 calories on a regular day, even though the info I plugged into MFP only estimates 2300. That's a pretty big difference, which is why I'm wondering about the accuracy. :)

Thanks!

Maybe you have a more active lifestyle than you chose on MFP. :flowerforyou:
  • Heh, yes, I did consider that :) Actually that's WHY I wanted to try wearing the HRM, to get a more objective number. Because just choosing how 'active' you are, out of four of five options offered on the site, is so subjective!

I haven't tried it, but I need to one day. I have a Polar F4.
