Question on "sharing" HRMs

Can it be done?

I'm looking at buying a Polar F6, F11 or Reebok XT soon (I'm really leaning towards the F6). My husband wants to try mine out because he's curious about how many calories he's burning durning some of his workouts. He's only curious, so he doesn't want to purchase one of his own (he's less enthusiatic about a life change - of course he has less to lose, too lol)

I've noticed that they are gender specific. Can some one else use it without having to reprogram everything?

My Reebok Precision XT can be set up for more than one profile/user. I don't know how to do it offhand because I never share. I do know it can be done though....

I am so excited about my other post that I will share it here since you mentioned the Reebok XT. Woot.com has it today for only $19.99. It has "pro-form" on it instead of Reebok but it is the same exact one. Apparently they use reebok and pro-form interchangably.

I know it doesn't answer your question about sharing :blushing: but maybe you won't have to for only $20 bucks. :happy:

I saw your post and I'm really excited about it! I"ve been waiting for Woot to have one on sale. Thanks for the info!

Setting up two user profiles is a great idea since I'm pretty sure he'll use it for about 10 minutes and then never pick it up again lol

DAMNIT! It's half the price of what I paid! BOOOO!!! I'msorry but I love my reebok. I think it's silly to spend all the extra money for a Polar because EVERYONE has one of those.

I totally agree! I was sooo close to paying $130 for the F7 and figured I might as well go for the cheaper one first. I am soo glad that I did!

annaliza-If he only uses it a few times then try and sell it on ebay afterwards. I bet you would get back at least what you paid for it, if not more!
