self sabotage!

I seem to be doing a good job of sabotaging my own efforts today! "Accidentally" ate two of the large chocolate chip cookies that someone had brought in to work so that's a third of my calorie allowance for the day on its own! Had a healthy breakfast and lunch, so i can still pull this back although I'll have to exercise later and I wasn't planning too as I have to take my daughter for a doctor's appointment. Why do I make it harder for myself? A little restraint shouldn't be so hard should it? Actually in my defence i think it's nearly that TOM so maybe I can forgive myself and move on, only just realised as I was typing, that might be it, i've been very good otherwise lately. OK I'm over it. thanks for listening!

personally, i really dislike it when people bring in a bunch of unhealthy crap to share at work. i occasionally have a small piece of whatever it is if it's Christmas or something, but it can just be so annoying.

restraint is very doable. i have done it for years. but we are social animals, and when we see everyone else getting cookies or doughnuts, we think, "why can't i have one; this stinks." that's why i hate it when i see that someone brought in cookies, doughnuts, or cupcakes.

    I find this really difficult
but someone suggested I imagined that the person in the office with the worst personal hygiene had just helped themselves to them and had put his grubby hands all over them.
  • I too hate when there is good stuff to eat at work! It is so hard to stay away from it.....

It is hard, but the great thing is that when I go wrong now I have to log it so I'm much more aware of what I do. MFP has really helped me be accountable to myself. So today I pulled it back by going to the gym and having salad for dinner, I may even have calories to spare if any of u want any, I'll email them over - L0L! Feeling pretty smug right now and damn those cookies were tasty!

I am having a horrible day. Instead of getting into my massive hoard of cadbury eggs I are some carrot sticks. It was no where near as satisfying, but it helped.

2 chocolate chip cookies+TOM= dont fret and forage on. this is a life long journey in which there is no finish line, get some exercise tonight and know tomorrow is a new day.

  • My work constantly has those tempting little tidbits, I hate that, and I am always made to feel bad because I wont join in, I hear things like oh it wont hurt you, meanwhile I am looking a people would it is very much hurting. It is hard but I pull thru, every once in a while I will indulge but make allowances for it thru this sites calorie and exercise counting.
