I know alot of people do not get the hype over soy and soy products and most think they are down right tasteless and nasty! But I must say this coming from a southern family of meat eaters that infact the products are YUMMY! At first I was like no way in hell was I going to live off of cardboard chewy grossness! But then I decided when I found out I had a digestive disorder to go out and buy a few Veg friendly products like Garden burgers, Tofurky sausage and veggie hot dogs. I got home and slowly opened the burgers. I looked at it for a moment in crazy awe at how colorful it looked and not so nasty as I thought. I popped that baby in the microwave and proceeded to sit down at the table with my family looking at me like a nut! I took the first bite unwillingly... WOW! BAM! WOOT! It was soooooooooooooo GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After that I went on a rampage of trying everything! The best thing I have found is Shiritake bagged noodles!!!!!!!! NO CARBS/ NO FAT/ONLY 80 CALORIES IN 8oz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have went from meat eating to a full fledged Vegetarian love nest of goodness!
So I thought I would share a few books that I think are awesome!
1)Babycakes vegan, gluten free, almost no sugar deserts cook book!
2)P.E.T.A Vegan college cookbook for those on a budget and only a microwave!
3)Easy Vegetarian
This has helped my family so much and whats better is I snuck for dinner in some veggie hot dogs and hormels vegetarian chili and veggie cheese and they NEVER knew it and LOVED it!!!!
Thus my 50 year old father out of Savannah GA is eating healthier!
-Enjoy!
