How long did it take you to put your weight on?
How long did it take you to create the bad habits that got you there?
All your life?
Right.
Well guess what.
Fad diets don't work. And make it that much harder to lose weight. If you keep going on these diets did you know that losing weight rapidly and gaining some of it back screws you up so it takes TWICE as long to lose the weight again?
It's true.
Stop the madness.
If you really want to change,
If you really want to lose weight,
You will re-learn a LIFETIME of healthy habits.
Yes it's going to take you a lifetime to safely and carefully get back to where you want to be.
But it's a beautiful journey full of learning about nutrition, proper exercise, and most importantly, yourself.
Because you have to find out why you got here in the first place. You have to learn more about yourself to change yourself into what you want to be.
If you don't know what the problem is, you can't fix it.
SO STOP STARVING YOURSELF.

Exactly where my mind's at. Last night I had an epiphany and realized I obsess too much over "getting as fit as I can be" and have noticed that it's mentally draining. There is nothing wrong with living a healthy lifestyle, but I reached a point where I was allowing it to consume me.
Tonight, I'm getting back to my basics and going back to yoga. I'm not wearing my HRM in class either. I'll log it as whatever MFP estimates my burn is, but my main focus is on eating good, balanced meals and worrying less about the number on the scale.
Losing weight in the past was done without even trying (thanks to yoga) and while it may not be for everyone, it really did me some good. No idea why I stopped for so long, but I'm excited to get back in there. Doing it at home just isn't the same these days as I've looked at it as more of a workout than a practice. Anyway, that's where I'm at in my journey.
I want to rid my life of the stress and eat in moderation, when I'm hungry, not because I've gotta get my calorie fix in for the day. Life won't wait for me to be "bikini ready" so why not enjoy it while it's here, one day at a time.
