Medicine Could Cause Tendon Rupture or Tendonitis

So I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he put me on a round of Levaquin for bronchotis. One pill a day for 7 days. Well I noticed on the side effects it said it could cause tendon problems especially if you're over 60 and on some type of steriod.
Well I figured I was ok. I'm 30 and very active and not on any other medication.
Wrong. Apparently even up to 6 months I could experience an achilles tendon rupture or tendonitis. It could damage other tendons in my body as well. So now I have a 5k this weekend and a Warrior Dash next month. And I'm freaking out.
Has anyone else ever taken this stuff?
