Eat less, exercise
You can't choose where you lose weight. Your genetics determine where your body stores fat.
I know it's not a fun answer but it's the truth...0 -

Can't spot reduce fat. With that being said. Calorie deficit will reduce belly fat. You can also increase your ab muscles will make them pop more, but it won't decrease the amount of fat covering them.0 -

BS it's not genetics, my mother doesn't have a flat stomach and I always had a flat stomach until I gained 30 lbs, so sick of ppl saying it genetic0 -

The fact still remains that you can't choose where you lose fat first. Everyone loses fat in different places first. (usually where you first gain it as well)0 -

"Genetics" does not mean "you are programmed to look exactly like one person in your family". Genetics deals with very specific sequences that you inherit from literally thousands of years of mixing and matching and sometimes discarding DNA.

What the 'genetics' part means is that for some people, the stomach will be the last place they lose fat, for some people, the hips, etc. It's also not determined by any one specific gene but rather combinations. So you shouldn't expect to be the same as your mother. My sister/mother are natural ectomorphs and tend towards being extremely slender, whereas I have a much bigger frame and tend towards being blocky.0
