Anyone have Crohns?

Way TMI, my hubby has had two weeks and a half weeks of very watery stools, despite following the brat diet and eating bland foods. Yesterday at a family dinner I found out that his brother has colitis, which made me think maybe DH has Crohn's Disease - since they are related and can run in families. He's going to see a doctor at this point, but did anyone have their first symptoms just come out of nowhere? Thanks!
