Exercise while ill?

Do you do it? Annoyed with myself the last couple of weeks as I have been ill, feaverish and just generally bunged up. I then decided to start the 30 DS and I wish I had never started until I was back to 100%.

Went swimming yesterday and did a measly 30 minutes half heartedly. I'd normally aim for around 45 minutes with a lot of effort. I went running and didn't feel like I performed so well.

So should I just leave exercise until I am back fighting fit? I can't seem to shake this sore throat, bunged up nose off. I thought maybe exercise would help me recover but I don't know if it is or not?

I do work out even if I don't feel well. If my legs will move then I move them. Any movement is better than no movement at all.
  • I try to take it easy when I am sick. Especially with counting calories and working out, I just like to give my body the time and energy it needs to improve. I think it is more of a personal choice, but taking it easy has never stirred me wrong.

No way. I figure my body needs the rest and that's what I give it.
