I'm on day 2 level 1, I'm not even that sore (I sweat a lot and struggle to finish) and have little hope that at 187 lbs I will look any different when done.. I have a big gut, huge muffin top, and I'm nervous all this hard work isn't going to pay off.. hell me!!

Take your measurements or photos (or both) to compare when you're finished with the 30 days, because you may see more of a difference there than on the scale. Also realize that everyone is different, and while some have had major changes after the 30 days, for others it takes longer. Transformation is right now, it's a present activity - that's a paraphrased Jillian quote.

Stick with the workout. If you're not getting sore at this point, do you maybe need heavier dumbbells?

Just because you are not sore doesn't mean its not working. I only get sore with very heavy upper body workouts or if I do a new routine. After that I will barely get sore again if I do the same thing.

If you don't like it, do a different kind of workout.

I used 3lbs to start with 30DS, and as I progressed (and went back through it, alternating days with other workouts), I kept upping the weight. I don't just use one set of dumbbells in any workout DVD I do now - I use the heaviest I can for the move - my biceps are much stronger than my triceps, so for curls or rows, I use my 8 or 10lbs weights, and my 5lbs for the triceps and other things. Just depends.

I never got sore doing any jillian workouts (30ds, extreme shed and shred or ripped in 30) and had great results. Up the weights do the hardest version of every move, go faster, just push the UP button (also a jillian quote) and you will see results. It might take more than 30 days though.

    It should still work!
When I finished it I didn't see a HUGE change, but I could definitely tell I lost some weight when I compared photos.

I love this workout - it took me longer than 30 days to see results - but I never really got to level 3 either. I switch out with level 1 and 2. I also do her 6 pack ab workout. I saw a lot of results with this video. However I hurt with it in the begining - especially in my legs - I think I was overdoing the squats - going into a full squats too early ( I have bad knees too) which makes working out harder for me. I try to do one of her workouts every morning @ 5:30 am . I love that it is not an hour or more long. I feel good to starting my day on the right track - it sets the mode for my whole day. I feel more focused and rejuvinated. I can already feel that my legs and butt are smaller. I do feel like I work harder than what MFP - gives me for calories burned. Just remember the more you move the more you lose.
