I just weighted myself @ 270(today) and 2 days ago i was 267.(3 pounds less).i have been eating sort of healthy..i know aLOT of people weigh them self's in the AM right after they go to the bathroom but before they eat....and i also been drinking lots of water 2. Does weight fluctuated do to water weight ..i know it can be alot of things that can happen about weight fluctuations..

Yes, I'd say water weight is the biggest culprit.0

I have that same problem and its sooooo very frustrating!!! I'd like to just see less and less everyday on the scale, but it doesn't happen that way for me and I hate it. My weight sometimes can vary by 5 pounds, yet I pretty much do the same thing every day. I go to a weight loss club once a week and pretty much hold my breath and hope that my weight isn't on one of its "up" days. I've tried to stop weighing myself everyday, but its hard, but I continue on and try not to let it get to me, but it is so very frustrating. I figure, no matter what, I will keep at it and it will come off, it has to.

you said it yourself- WATER!! Water's a big culprit. Along with that- let's get real folks. POO!! Think about how much poo is in your system at a time if you're not have the normal 2-3 bowel movements a day. I can easily weigh a few more lbs if i'm constipated or only had one bowel movement. It's alright- the only way to gain a pound is to take in an EXTRA 3500 calories in a week's time so I doubt you've truely gained, probably just holding onto water and poo. )0

Weight will change up to 4-5 pound throughout the day. The reason people weigh themselves in the morning after going to the toilet, but before eating or drinking anything is because when you weigh yourself you also weigh whatever is in your stomach. If you were to weigh yourself then drink 16 ounces of water and weigh yourself right after that you would increase your weight by the weight of that water, probably about 16 ounces or one pound. That is why weighing yourself throughout the day is a complete waste of time because you are weighing your body and any food or drink in your digestive track.
As for the gaining 3 pounds. If you have been meeting your calorie goal, it is highly unlikely it is fat. Much more likely is it is retained water or digested food that needs to pass. Watch how much sodium you are eating, because it is the usual suspect when it comes to water retention. The other one is if you have started or changed your workout. The muscles will hold more water to help compensate for the new work they have been doing. That also will pass in a week or so (sometimes less).
Generally it is best to weigh yourself one every week or two, in the morning, after going to the washroom at about the same time each time. That removes many other variables that can mess up your weight. Even better, don't depend on the scale by itself. Take measurements now (chest, waist, hips) and check those every 2 weeks. They are a much more useful way to see what is happening than just the scale.0 -
ok thanks everybody for those answers...i will try and weigh myself 2-morrow morning after i got to the bathroom and b4 i eat and see where things take me...i never thought about poo but yeah i do get the point about it YUCK TO BODY WASTE...0

riley was much gentler than me. lol. yucky but true- poo's part of life ) Personally I added things to my diet to help me get more regualr- that 2-3 times a day we're supposed to be going. I had to add avacado/healthy fats, more fiber, and also prunes! Once the poo's moving like it's supposed to you won't see such a high spike since your body will be moving things along more efficiently.0

lol i know ..hey but you got ur point across...i need prunes and other stuff that makes me go more regular ...0

even if the scale doesn't move a ton it's amazing how much happier and lighter you'll feel! haha0

mine fluctuates too around a pound or so. It's just water weight most of the time. That's part of the reason I started going to the gym every other day instead of every day. I noticed I was retaining a lot of water working out too much. When I started taking break days, I started dropping pounds a lot faster.0

2-3 poos a day is regular!!? Ughhhhhh.....Im happy if i go once. Hmm.0

I know it's ridiculous right? haha Seems impossible sometimes. Doctor said 2-3 times a day the size of your forearm roughly!! That is with a regular calorie diet though, I imagine if you're eating less it'll be less coming out. I'm at 1900-2200 cals a day though so a couple of times a day's normal for me0

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!! Once every 3 days is amazing for me! What the heck am I doing wrong?0 -
Also though im new maybe only weigh yourself once a week?0

maybe add fiber to your macros? I always watch it and make sure I'm getting enough and if I'm sill not up to par I have 3-4 prunes with dinner to get things moving and try to always have a serving of olive oil or avacado/healthy fats in my day. It's usually just a matter of fine tuning your diet and figuring out what works. For my it was adding greek yogurt, almonds, olive oil and avacado EVERY DAY.0

Oh god I poo once a day if i'm lucky!!
I do eat a fair few prunes as well...always been that way for me.0
