Informal Food Plan

My husband and I are using MFP every day to help us get more fit. We decided on a plan today. Please tell me what you think!

We think it will help us stay sane if for four weeks, we use MFP's calorie suggestions for our goal loss per week. (He and I have different goals, so we track ourselves individually.)
On the fifth week, we change our goal to be what our current weight is at that time, so we can eat a little more freely but not gain any weight.
Then back to four more weeks of chasing our goal.

Every second Saturday we will have a free day, where we can eat whatever our cravings tell us. For me, today, waffle fries and/or nachos. (I find that the fantasy food tastes better in my memory than it does in my mouth, so even if I get a plate of nachos, I'm not likely to finish them. Happy and sad news.)


Not clear? Here's an example:
Weeks 1-4: 1200 calories/day
Week 5: 2110 calories/day
Saturday week 2: Free day!


In addition to sanity, we think it will be good to keep our bodies on their toes.
